Application for a 50MAX permit to exceed mass limits

This information request is required to process an application for a High Productivity Motor Vehicle (HPMV) permit under the Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Dimensions and Mass 2016.

If your application is successful a permit will be issued for the specified vehicle combination to operate, subject to the terms and conditions of the permit, as a high productivity motor vehicle within a specified region at higher mass and if required a permit to operate as over length nationwide.

Declaration and signatory

It is the permit holder’s responsibility to comply with all relevant regulatory requirements including SRT, Brake Code, GVM/GCM, RUC, load anchorage point ratings, draw beam / draw bar / 5^th wheel mount rating, as well as any other conditions detailed in the permit or legislation. The NZ Transport Agency can revoke permits under section 5.7 of the Vehicle Dimensions and Mass Rule 2016 (Rule 41001). By ticking the box and agreeing to the declaration, you are accepting responsibility that the details are correct and confirming that the details of the vehicle combination have not been altered since the original 50MAX permit was issued.
