night

|

Motorists are advised that portable traffic signals will be operating along State Highway 29 near Hastings Road from Monday night during repairs to a small slip. Access for local Hastings Road residents will be available.

The work will be carried out at night only, commencing this Monday night 28 April  at 8.00pm and going through to Friday 2 May with the work expected to finish each day at 6.30am, says the NZ Transport Agency.

Portable traffic signals will manage vehicles via a single lane operation with a 30 km/h speed restriction in place through the work site. To find out more about these works click here, or phone the Transport Agency's 0800 4 HIGHWAYS.

As the works are being undertaken at night to minimise disruption for motorists, minimal delays are expected.  However detours are possible via Pyes Pa Road and State Highway 36 back onto State Highway 29 or along State Highway 2 through the Route K toll road.  The work will be postponed if wet weather is encountered.

The Transport Agency would like to apologise to motorists for any inconvenience and thanks them for their patience while this important work is being undertaken.
