Significant delays through Rolleston, south-west of Christchurch SH1 this afternoon

|

Christchurch drivers are advised to avoid State Highway 1 through Rolleston this afternoon if at all possible. A long stretch of highway lane is being repaired and there are delays on either side of Rolleston as traffic is restricted to one lane with Stop/Go

People should take Shands Road/ Selwyn Road or Springs Road and other roads around the town to avoid the town centre today, says NZ Transport Agency Journey Manager Lee Wright.

“This is an urgent repair and we thank everyone who can take another route for doing so today.”
