Tauranga Eastern Link - night time diversions this week

|

The NZ Transport Agency advise motorists planning travel on State Highway 2 (SH2) Papamoa tonight and tomorrow night that there will be a diversion in place from 7pm both nights. This is to allow for the final construction of the new SH2 Domain Road roundabout.

Motorists are advised that the following diversions are weather dependent and if postponed, will take place on the next suitable day.

Diversion details are as follows:

  • Monday 23 February and Tuesday 24 February - from 7pm to 6am the following day

SH2 traffic heading eastbound (from Tauranga to Te Puke) and westbound (from Te Puke to Tauranga) will be diverted via Domain Road, Tara Road, Parton Road and Bell Road.

There will also be a diversion in place later in the week on Domain Road as follows:

  • Wednesday 25 February and Thursday 26 February - from 7pm to 6am the following day

Domain Road will be closed between The Gardens Drive and Tara Road. All traffic will be diverted via Doncaster Road and Tara Road.

The Transport Agency expects there will be little to no delay to people’s journeys, and asks drivers to take extra care and follow the temporary directional signage.
