Following on from the successful uptake of the NZ Transport Agency Learning Management System module covering the Business Case Approach (BCA) phase 1 (introductory modules) we can advise that development of phase 2 for BCA has started.

We will be deploying a series of modules from now through to July – with the point of entry being the first phase 2 module available now.

Phase 2 is more of a 'deep dive' than phase 1, ie a mix of blended, interactive and scenario based modules.

You will find the BCA modules on the Learning Management System and if you already have your login, you can access them there.

If you don’t have a login, please email nltp@nzta.govt.nz with your name, title, organisation and manager’s name and we will arrange a login for you.

If you work in the Transport Agency you can access the modules directly through https://learningzone.nzta.govt.nz(external link). In addition, Transport Agency staff can follow the progress of the BCA capability initiative, on our intranet page(external link)

We will be in contact when remaining modules come to hand.

The BCA modules continue to provide consistency in language, understanding and approach for the development of business cases as well as identifying where capability uplift may be required.

It also provides a starting point for Transport Agency employees new to the Business Case Approach.
