#17-13 Update to Code of practice for temporary traffic management (CoPTTM)

CoPTTM describes best practice for the safe and efficient management and operation of temporary traffic management (TTM) on all roads in New Zealand. This update is part of a regular cycle of reviews.

The February 2017 version of CoPTTM includes some new requirements, clarifications and minor corrections. It also incorporates the following technical notes:

  • Changes to ROPE procedures
  • High visibility garments
  • CoPTTM changes for HSWA 2015
  • Guidelines for managing cyclists where cycle lanes are impacted by a worksite.

The changes to CoPTTM took effect on 1 April 2017.
