The competition period commences at 12.00am on 10 April 2017 and closes at 11:59pm on 31 May 2017. The prize draw will be held at NZ Transport Agency National Office no later than 6 June 2017.
You can enter the competition by vising www.nzta.govt.nz/favplaces (external link) and register your name, email address and phone number and you will be entered in the draw.
This NZ Transport Agency competition is only open to residents of New Zealand. Transport Agency employees (and their immediate families) may submit an entry but they will not be eligible to win a prize in this competition. Any of the Transport Agency’s agents or anyone professionally connected with the NZ’s favourite places to ride promotion must not submit an entry and are not eligible to win a prize. Non-eligible entries will be disregarded.
The Transport Agency reserves the right to reasonably edit or abridge the competition entries before publication. Any changes will be displayed in a notice included on www.nzta.govt.nz/favplaces webpage.
All personal details provided to participate in this competition will be held and used by the Transport Agency for the purpose of this competition and also for future Transport Agency cycling related promotions until 31 May 2018. All personal details will be deleted after 31 May 2018. You have the right to request access to and correction of your personal details. If you wish to do so, please contact email@example.com.
By entering the competition you consent to the Transport Agency publishing your name and competition entry. Otherwise personal details will not be disclosed to any third party.
By submitting any photos with the competition, you declare that you have the permission of any and all individual(s) captured in the photo to share and publish their image. You also declare that you have taken the photo and have sole and complete intellectual property rights to the photo. You indemnify the Transport Agency against any claim, loss or cost incurred by the Transport Agency where a third party claims ownership of the rights to a photo.
Competition entries (excluding personal details) may also be used by the Transport Agency for future promotional and marketing purposes.
There will be 6 winners randomly selected. One winner will win $500 worth of vouchers from a specialist bike shop nominated by them, and the remaining 5 winners will each win a $100 voucher from a specialist bike shop nominated by them.
Prize winners may also be required to participate in publicity and promotional activities.
No cash or other prize alternative is available. Prizes must be claimed by 4 December 2017. If unclaimed, the prize will be forfeited.
The Transport Agency reserves the right to substitute the prize for any prize of an equal or greater value in the event of circumstances beyond our control.
If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to infection by computer virus, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Transport Agency which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition, the Transport Agency reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
The Transport Agency’s decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Transport Agency will not be held responsible for any late, incomplete, corrupted or incorrect entries.
The information available through the NZ’s favourite places to ride promotion is gathered from the public about places to cycle in New Zealand.
The Transport Agency does not represent or endorse the accuracy or reliability of any advice, opinion, statement or other information provided by any information provider, person or entity in relation to the NZ’s favourite places to ride promotion. Reliance upon any such advice, opinion, statement or other information, shall be at the user's own risk.
The Transport Agency will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including but not limited to direct, indirect or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained with either participation in this competition or in connection with the prizes offered.
