00:00:50	[Text] In 2021 a 50km/h limit through town and 80km/h limits at either end of town were introduced, along with safety improvements such as pedestrian refuges.
00:00:55	Interview with Jeanine Foster, Waka Kotahi Speed and Infrastructure Programme Lead	Taking a little bit more time, travelling at a slightly slower speed means that if that mountain catches you a little bit longer than it should do and you veer towards that centre line you've got time to react and everybody on the road is safer as a result.
00:01:10	Interview with Caroll Simcox	It's only 10 kilometres an hour but it feels much calmer, the traffic is calmer, the drivers are not so aggressive, they're not hurrying to go through Takapō.
