Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for adaptive learners who can think outside the box and pick things up quickly to join our emerging professional programme. It’s not so much about what you look like on paper - we’re after people who offer diversity of thought when it comes to developing solutions to keep New Zealand moving. So regardless of your background, we want to hear from you.

What you can expect

We will offer a unique opportunity for you to go places you never expected within our organisation to help deliver our customer promise – great journeys to keep New Zealand moving.

You can expect:

  • A two-year rotational programme
  • Opportunities to contribute to meaningful work that makes a real difference to New Zealand
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities that will set you up for the future
  • Understanding of a complex public sector organisation
  • Mentoring from a senior manager
  • Opportunity to apply for permanent or ongoing roles at the Transport Agency on programme completion.

Application process

Applications will open 1 July 2019 for our February 2020 intake. Please check back here for more information over the coming months.

To be eligible to apply you should be in your final year of tertiary study or be within your first six years of your professional career.

International students must provide evidence that you can legally work in New Zealand for the duration of the programme.
