North Island

  • Northland

    A detour has been established via SH12 and SH14 for all High Productivity Motor Vehicles (HPMV) during the closure of State Highway (SH) 1 Brynderwyn. HPMV’s are temporarily permitted to travel on SH12 between SH1 Brynderwyn and Dargaville, and SH14 between Dargaville and Whangārei.

  • Hawke's Bay
    Addendum Applicable dates Issue date Valid to (and not after):

    Sections of SH2 between Watchman Road and the SH2/Maraekakaho Roundabout will be closed in both directions every second Sunday.

    Due to maintenance work on the expressway, SH2 will be closed in both directions between Links Road, Hastings and Omahu Road, Hastings with the traffic being detoured via local authority roads. HPMVs must detour via Maraekakaho Road and Pakowhai Road.

    Operators with a 2021 permit for transporter with a gross mass of 100T or more, or a mobile crane with a gross mass of 40T or more must apply for a new permit to be able to travel on the Peka Peka to Ōtaki Expressway, north of Wellington, once it opens.

    The new Transmission Gully SH1 is set to open at the end of March 2022 and this will affect permit holders. Bridges along SH59 (between Linden and Mackays Crossing) are being renumbered.
