The Walmsley Road on-ramp at Mangere Bridge in south Auckland and a small southbound section of the Southwestern Motorway SH20 will be closed this Saturday night, 2 April, for necessary work associated with the NZ Transport Agency's safety improvements to the on-ramp.
The NZ Transport Agency says that construction on the SH18 Hobsonville Deviation and SH16 Brigham Creek Extension motorway project is on target to be completed by September - six months ahead of schedule.
Newmarket's Broadway will be closed overnight between Mortimer Pass and Alpers Ave, from 8pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursday next week (27-31 March) for work related to the NZ Transport Agency's Newmarket Connection: Viaduct Replacement Project. Diversions will be in place to for drivers.
The NZ Transport Agency will close a section of the southbound lanes on Auckland's Southwestern Motorway (State Highway 20) on Sunday night (20 March) for work associated with improvements to the Walmsley Road interchange at Mangere Bridge.
Road users are being advised by the NZ Transport Agency that unusually high tides in the Manukau and Waitemata Harbours over the next week could flood parts of the Auckland motorway network. High tides of up to 3.6m are expected from Saturday, 19 March until Thursday, 24 March.
Part of Newmarket's Broadway will be reduced to one lane each way from 7am to 8pm this Saturday and Sunday [12 and 13 March] for deconstruction work on the old southbound Newmarket Viaduct. The affected section of road, between Mortimer Pass and Alpers Ave, will also be closed completely overnight during the weekend.
Safety improvements at the Taupaki Road roundabout on State Highway 16 near Kumeu in northwest Auckland are complete, and the improved intersection has been officially opened by the NZ Transport Agency.
