Auckland overnight motorway closures 15-21 December

The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 21 December.

Northern Motorway (SH1)

  • Shelly Beach Road southbound off-ramp 16 December

Southern Motorway (SH1)

  • Gillies Avenue northbound on-ramp 20 December (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Gillies Avenue southbound off-ramp 17 - 18 December (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Khyber Pass Road northbound off-ramp 16 - 17 December (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Market Road southbound off-ramp 16 December
  • Northbound lanes between Market Road off-ramp and Gillies Avenue on-ramp 16 - 19 December (approx 11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Princes Street northbound on-ramp 17 - 18 December
  • St Marks Road southbound on-ramp 16 - 19 December

Northwestern Motorway (SH16)

  • Eastbound lanes between Brigham Creek Road roundabout and Te Atatu Road on-ramp 16 December
  • Hobsonville Road eastbound on-ramp 16 December
  • SH16 westbound to SH18 eastbound link 16 December
  • Royal Road eastbound on-ramp 16 December
  • Lincoln Road eastbound on-ramp 16 December
  • Lincoln Road westbound on-ramp 17 - 19 December
  • Te Atatu Road westbound on-ramp 17 - 19 December
  • Westbound lanes between Te Atatu Road off-ramp and Brigham Creek Road roundabout 17 - 19 December
  • Great North Road westbound off-ramp 17 - 20 December

Upper Harbour Highway (SH18)

  • Eastbound lanes between Hobsonville Road off-ramp and Te Atatu Road on-ramp 16 December

Southwestern Motorway (SH20)

  • Dominion Road northbound on-ramp 17 - 19 December (approx 11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Northbound lanes between Dominion Road off-ramp and Maioro Street 17 - 19 December (approx 11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
