Auckland overnight motorway closures 17-22 March

The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 22 March.

Northern Motorway (SH1)

  • Southbound lanes between Oteha Valley Road off-ramp and Oteha Valley Road on-ramp 17 March (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Shelly Beach Road southbound off-ramp 18 - 21 March

Central Motorway Junction (SH1 & SH16)

  • SH16 Port westbound to SH1 southbound link 20 March

Southern Motorway (SH1)

  • Khyber Pass Road southbound on-ramp 17 March
  • Gillies Avenue southbound off-ramp 17 March (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Southbound lanes between Gillies Avenue off-ramp and Greenlane on-ramp 20 - 21 March (approx 11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Greenlane southbound off-ramp 18 - 19 March (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Southbound lanes between Ellerslie-Panmure Highway off-ramp and Mt Wellington on-ramp 19 March (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Ellerslie-Panmure Highway southbound on-ramp 19 March
  • Mt Wellington Highway southbound off-ramp 21 March
  • Southbound lanes between East Tamaki Road off-ramp and Manukau on-ramp 17 March (approx 10:30p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • East Tamaki Road southbound on-ramp 17 March (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Bombay northbound on-ramp 17 March
  • Nikau Road southbound on-ramp 20 - 21 March
  • Razorback Road southbound off-ramp 20 - 21 March
  • SH1 southbound link to SH2 eastbound 20 - 21 March
  • SH2 westbound link to SH1 southbound 20 - 21 March

Northwestern Motorway (SH16)

  • Eastbound lanes between Lincoln Road off-ramp and Te Atatu Road on-ramp 17 March
  • Lincoln Road eastbound on-ramp 17 March
  • Te Atatu Road westbound on-ramp 17 - 21 March
  • Westbound lanes between Te Atatu Road off-ramp and Lincoln Road on-ramp 17 - 21 March

Upper Harbour Highway (SH18)

  • Westbound lanes between Caribbean Drive and Paul Mathews Drive 19 March
