Auckland overnight motorway closures 29 August - 3 September

The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 8pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday 4 September.

Northern Motorway (SH1)

  • Tristram Avenue northbound off ramp 2 September
  • Northcote Road northbound off ramp 1 September

Auckland Harbour Bridge (SH1)

  • Shelly Beach Road off ramp and Auckland Harbour Bridge southbound lanes one and two 30 August to 3 September (approx 7.30pm - 5am)
  • Curran Street on ramp and Auckland Harbour Bridge northbound lanes one and two 2 – 3 September

Central Motorway Junction

  • Port to SH1 southbound link 30 – 31 August
  • SH16 eastbound to Port link 30 – 31 August
  • SH1 southbound to Port link 30 – 31 August

Southern Motorway (SH1)

  • Gilles Avenue southbound off ramp 30 August – 3 September
  • St Marks Road southbound on ramp 30 August – 3 September
  • Westbound lanes between Wilkinson Road and Ellerslie Panmure roundabout 31 August
  • South Eastern Highway northbound on ramp 30 August
  • Princes Street southbound off ramp 2 September
  • Manukau southbound off ramp 31 August – 2 September
  • Takanini northbound on ramp 29 August
  • Mill Road southbound off ramp 3 September

Northwestern Motorway (SH16)

  • Eastbound lanes between St Lukes Road off ramp and on ramp 3 September
  • Te Atatu Road eastbound on ramp 30 - 31 August

Southwestern Motorway (SH20)

  • Neilson Street northbound on ramp 30 August
  • Northbound lanes between Airport link and Coronation Road on ramp 31 August – 1 September

State Highway 16 and 18

  • All lanes between Royal Road, Don Buck Road and Oriel Avenue 30 August to 3 September
