Auckland overnight motorway closures 3 August – 9 August

The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 8 August. Please note this Traffic Bulletin is updated every Friday.

NORTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)

  • Greville Road southbound off ramp, 3 - 6 August
  • Northbound lanes between Upper Harbour Highway off ramp and Greville Road on ramp, 6 - 7 August (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Upper Harbour Highway northbound on ramp, 6 - 7 August
  • Esmonde Road southbound on ramp 3 August (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Esmonde Road southbound on ramp 6 - 7 August (approx 10:30p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Onewa Road northbound off ramp, 5 August
  • Onewa Road southbound off ramp, 5 August (approx 11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)

CENTRAL MOTORWAY JUNCTION (SH1 & SH16)

  • (SH1) Wellington Street northbound on ramp, 4 - 5 August
  • (SH1) northbound lanes between Nelson Street off ramp and Fanshawe Street on ramp, 4 - 5 August (approx 10:30p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • (SH16) eastbound to (SH1) northbound link, 4 - 5 August
  • (SH16) Port westbound to (SH1) northbound link, 4 - 5 August

SOUTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)

  • Northbound lanes between Mt Wellington Highway off ramp and Ellerslie-Panmure Highway on ramp, 4 August (approx 10:30p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Mt Wellington Highway northbound on ramp, 4 August
  • Northbound lanes between Princes Street off ramp and Mt Wellington Highway on ramp, 5 August (approx 10:30p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Northbound lanes between Princes Street off ramp and Princes Street on ramp, 6 - 7 August (approx 10:30p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Princes Street northbound on ramp, 3 & 5 August
  • SEART northbound on ramp, 4 August
  • Takanini southbound off ramp, 3 - 7 August

NORTHWESTERN MOTORWAY (SH16)

  • Westbound lanes between St Lukes Road off ramp and St Lukes Road on ramp 3 - 4 & 6 - 7August (approx 11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Eastbound lanes between Great North Road off ramp and Western Springs on ramp, 4 August (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Westbound lanes between St Lukes Road off ramp and Patiki Road on ramp, 5 August (approx 11:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
  • Great North Road eastbound on ramp, 4 - 5 August
  • Great North Road westbound on ramp, 3 - 7 August
  • Eastbound lanes between Patiki Road off ramp and Western Springs on ramp, 5 August (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)

SOUTHWESTERN MOTORWAY (SH20)

  • Massey Road southbound off ramp, 3 August
  • Walmsley Road southbound off ramp, 6 August
  • Dominion Road northbound on ramp, 4 - 5 August
  • Northbound lanes between Dominion Road off ramp and Maioro Street 4 - 5 August (approx 10:00p.m. to 5:00a.m.)
