Detours in place on SH1B between Gordonton and Cambridge on February 17

|

Motorists travelling between Gordonton and Cambridge on rural State Highway 1B in the Waikato will be detoured via local roads on Tuesday February 17.

The NZ Transport Agency says the detour will operate from 6am to 8pm that day to allow contractors to replace the culvert just north of Amber Lane on SH1B (Telephone Road).

South-bound traffic will be diverted at Puketaha Road to Seddon Road, Waverley Road and Holland Road, and will re-join SH1B at Marshmeadow Road.

North-bound traffic will turn right from Marshmeadow Road to Holland Road and re-join SH1B at Puketaha Road via Waverley Road and Seddon Road.

Signs on Puketaha Road and Marshmeadow Road will alert motorists of the approaching detour. Vehicle access to and from local properties will be maintained at all times.

The work is weather dependent and may be postponed if necessary .

The Transport Agency apologises in advance for any inconvenience and thanks motorists for their patience and understanding while these works are completed.
