Heading to Blenheim Airport? – plan for roadworks next week

|

Marlborough residents need to plan their travel if they’re heading to Blenheim airport next week.

Contractors will be carrying out resurfacing work on State Highway 6, Woodbourne, next week as part of planned state highway maintenance.

The work will be done on Monday, 20 March and Tuesday, 21 March, between 7 am and 6 pm.

The highway will be under stop/go traffic management, with temporary speed restrictions and local detours in place. Access to the airport will be maintained for road users.

Detours

  • Drivers heading east from Renwick on State Highway 6 must detour via Old Renwick Road to Jacksons Road to State Highway 6
  • Drivers travelling east on State Highway 63 must detour via Anglesea Street and Old Renwick Road to Jacksons Road to State Highway 6
  • West bound traffic can remain on State Highway 6 but will be subject to stop/go traffic controls

These works will create short travel delays. Road users must take care driving through this site and follow posted detours and temporary speed limits.

Waka Kotahi wants to thank drivers for their cooperation while this work is completed.
