Overnight closures planned through Dome Valley for Sunday 12 February through to Thursday 16 February have been cancelled due to Cyclone Gabrielle.

These works are planned to complete line marking and maintenance works including storm clean up, median barrier repairs and street light installation.
These works are being coordinated alongside closures for road surfacing works for the Ara Tūhono – Pūhoi to Warkworth motorway project with both teams working together to get as much work done as possible during the closures.

While the night work takes place, State Highway 1 will be closed to all traffic between Wellsford and Warkworth. A detour will be in place between Woodcocks Road, West Coast Road, Kaipara Coast Highway and Port Albert Road.
Those travelling between Auckland and Wellsford are advised to use SH16.
