Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that essential maintenance road pavement rehabilitation will take place on State Highway 50 (Links Road) between Franklin Road and SH50 Korokipo Road / Waiohiki Road intersection from Monday, 9 January 2023 to Saturday, 28 January 2023 between 6am and 6pm (weekdays).
During construction, the east-bound lane will be closed to traffic and the speed will be reduced to 30km/h. Signposted detours via Waiohiki Road, Gloucester Street, Lee Road and Meeanee Road will be in place.
A temporary speed limit of 20km/h will be in place on Redcliffe Bridge (Waiohiki Road) during construction time (6am and 6pm). VMS boards will also be in place from 22 December 2022 advising the public of closure dates and times.
The Silky Oak Chocolates shop and café will be open and operating as normal.
