State Highway 1, near Seddon, has reopened following a serious crash this afternoon.

The road had been closed near Blind River Loop Road since around 4:30 pm this afternoon.

It reopened shortly before 8 pm.

However, it is under stop/go traffic management and a 30km/h speed restriction while investigations continue, and the scene is cleared.

This means road users can expect delays at the crash site.
