SH1 Desert Road re-opened after successful removal of
crashed truck

The NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists that SH1 through the Desert Road has re-opened to traffic following a four-hour closure from 1pm to 5pm today to allow for the safe recovery and removal of a truck which was involved in a crash on the road this morning. 

The Transport Agency apologises to motorists for the inconvenience and thanks them for their patience while contractors worked to safely remove the truck and re-open the road as quickly as possible.
