SH33 works get underway at Okere Falls from Sunday

|

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency is advising motorists to expect delays on State Highway 33 between Hamurana Rd and Okere Falls Rd from this Sunday, as road repair works get underway.

Bay of Plenty System Manager Rob Campbell encourages everyone to drive with care through the site and obey temporary speed limits to ensure the safety of themselves, road workers and other road users.

“The road will operate under Stop/Go traffic management during the day with a 30km/h temporary speed limit in place during the day and a 50km/h temporary speed limit overnight.”

Works are expected to be completed by early-February, weather dependent.

“The Transport Agency thanks road users for their patience.”

Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey this summer. Keep up to date with:
