The NZ Transport Agency is advising State Highway 2 has closed at Waipaoa, near Gisborne following a truck and trailer roll.
Due to the location of the crash, there are no available detours on State Highway 2 between Opotiki and Gisborne.
We recommend avoiding the area or delaying travel, if possible.
There is an alternative route via SH35 – please note this will add approximately 5 hours to your journey.
