State Highway road repairs begin this weekend in Blenheim

|

Road crews will be hard at work from this Sunday (20 November) carrying out resealing and essential maintenance work on State Highways 1 and 6 through Blenheim.

Waka Kotahi wants to ensure residents and regular users of the route know what is happening, as lane closures are planned, and some traffic delays are expected while these night works are done.

The repairs will be done at night, from 7pm to 6am. Night works have been chosen as traffic volumes are lower, and disruption to road users is minimised. Most of the works will have stop/go traffic management, and detours will be available on side roads.

These works are weather dependent and may be rescheduled if bad weather occurs.

Waka Kotahi wants to thank road users and residents for their patience while this essential state highway maintenance is carried out. We also ask that drivers respect and follow speed limits and safety directions in road work areas.
