Taramakau Bridge cycling and walking clip-on making good progress

The NZ Transport Agency’s Taramakau Bridge cycling and walking clip-on should be completed in just over a month, ready for the summer holiday cyclists. The clip-on is designed to fill the gap until a new road bridge with a dedicated cycle and pedestrian lane is built.

In the meantime, the West Coast cycling network(external link) is expanding and the Taramakau Bridge clip-on provides a safer way for cyclists to cross the river, away from motorised traffic, on the existing road-rail bridge.
