Taranaki SH3, Lake Mangamahoe - Culvert repairs

|

The NZ Transport Agency is advising that traffic management is being put in place on Taranaki’s state highway 3 near Lake Mangamahoe so damage to a large stormwater culvert, can be repaired.

Heavy rainfall in the area has led to the culvert being undermined and damage to the pipe.

Structural engineers will be on site this afternoon to investigate the full extent of the issue and it’s expected that contractors will be repairing the culvert over the next few days.

There will be reduced speed limits in the area while the work goes on.

We thank people for their patience as we try to get this work done with as little disruption to motorists as possible.
