Traffic changes at SH20A Kirkbride Road

|

The Transport Agency is advising motorists of changes taking place on State Highway 20A in Mangere tonight, Wednesday 20 July, as work to build a new trench that will eventually become the motorway heads under Kirkbride Road.

The planned road layout changes at SH20A/Kirkbride Road were originally due to come into effect on Monday 18 July, but were postponed due to wet weather, and will now take place tonight.

The lanes will remain in position until the middle of next year to create space for the construction team to continue digging and building the trench which will carry the state highway under the Kirkbride Road intersection.

Motorists using SH20A to get to the airport should factor in an extra five minutes for their journeys, drive with care and follow the signs to guide them through the different intersection layout.

The new temporary intersection layout will involve some turning changes including no right turn into Kirkbride Road when heading to the city from the airport.
