Tree felling and maintenance works at Maungatapu roundabout this weekend

|

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises tree removal and maintenance works will take place at the Maungatapu roundabout this Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June.

The State Highway 29A on-ramp near the Maungatapu roundabout will be closed between 8.30am-3.30pm on both days, when work to remove the trees will be undertaken. Eastbound traffic are encouraged to seek an alternative route.

In addition to the on-ramp closure, there will be a lane closure through the Hairini and Maungatapu roundabouts to ensure that cars follow the correct lanes to avoid the SH29A on-ramp.

Works are planned for the weekend to minimise the impact on traffic. Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area and are encouraged to allow extra time for travel, use alternative routes, or plan travel for outside these times. Our contractors will be actively working to minimise delays as much as possible.

Please take extra care, reduce your speed and follow directions of traffic management staff and signage.

In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, work may be postponed. Visit the interactive Waka Kotahi Journey Planner website for the latest information on roadworks, traffic, road closures and detours to help plan your trip.
