Upcoming nightworks on SH2, Tauranga Eastern Link

|

Motorists travelling on State Highway 2 (SH2) through the Domain Road interchange area, near Papamoa, are advised that there will be a series of nightworks later this week. This is to allow completion of the Domain Road roundabout, which was opened to traffic earlier this month.

The NZ Transport Agency advises drivers to take extra care and follow temporary directional signage when driving through the area between 7pm and 6am on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 February.

Details are as follows:

From 7pm Wednesday 18 February to 6am Thursday 19 February

  • SH2 eastbound traffic (Tauranga to Te Puke) will be diverted via Domain Road / Tara Road roundabout to then re-join SH2.
  • Te Puke to Papamoa traffic will be diverted via the SH2 Tauranga slip lane to a temporary intersection to then re-join the Domain Road roundabout.

From 7pm Thursday 19 February to 6am Friday 20 February

  • SH2 eastbound traffic (Tauranga to Te Puke) will be diverted via Domain Road, Tara Road, Parton Road and Bell Road.
  • Te Puke to Papamoa traffic will be diverted via the SH2 Tauranga slip lane to a temporary intersection to then re-join the Domain Road roundabout.

The Transport Agency wishes to thank drivers for their patience while these works are carried out.
