Wheel along Manukau's newest motorway

|

The NZ Transport Agency warmly invites cyclists to experience Manukau's newest motorway this Saturday the 28th of August from 1pm.

A community open day will be held on the eastbound motorway lanes to celebrate the completion of the SH20-1 Manukau Extension project.

To give everyone safe access, an hour has been set aside especially for cyclists between 1pm and 2pm. Pedestrians will be using the lanes between 10am and 1pm.

Entry and exit will be via the eastbound on-ramp at Cavendish Drive. Cyclists can use the full length of the lanes between Cavendish Drive and the SH1 interchange.

The last access will be at 1.30pm, to ensure that everyone is off the motorway lanes by 2pm. This will give the construction team time to get back on site and put the finishing touches on the motorway lanes before they open to traffic the next day.

More information on the motorway project and community open day is available at www.nzta.govt.nz/projects/manukauextension/(external link).
