Work on Tauranga's Chapel Street viaduct to start this weekend

|

The NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that planned maintenance work on the State Highway (SH2) Chapel Street viaduct in Tauranga has been postponed for a week.

Contractors will now work on the viaduct from Sunday June 26 through to Thursday June 30.

The work will be carried out at night between the hours of 7pm and 6am to avoid major delays to traffic.

One lane will be closed and speed restrictions will be in place. Motorists are urged to drive with extra care and attention through the site.

The Transport Agency apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks motorists for their patience during the works.
