Works on SH25 between Whitianga and Kuaotunu

|

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises motorists travelling on SH25 between Whitianga and Kuaotunu to expect some delays as works to repair a major slip continue.

Works have been underway on the repair site since November and have now progressed to the point that the drilling and installation of the piles is underway.

There will be periods of Stop / Stop traffic control while drilling, piling and road construction takes place and delays of up to 30 minutes are possible. Stop / Go traffic management or traffic light control will be in place at other times.

Piling works are expected to be complete by Friday 14 December. However, periods of Stop / Stop traffic control may still be required while road reconstruction works take place. All work is expected to be complete on or before 23 December, ahead of the holiday break.

The Transport Agency thanks motorists for their patience.

Plan ahead for a safe, enjoyable journey this summer. Keep up to date with:
