The heavy rain warning continues to make driving treacherous around the Coromandel Peninsula, with the bad weather now set to continue until 9am tomorrow, 31 October.
Due to recent poor weather, contractors require an extra three days to complete resealing works on State Highway 2 in the Waioeka Gorge this week, with the completion date now Friday 3 November.
Five nights of night-time maintenance closures get underway on State Highway 2, Remutaka Hill, this Sunday, and regular users of the route must be prepared for its impact on their travel plans.
Major works on the Takitimu North Link project will require a full closure of a section of Moffat Road, Bethlehem, for three months starting January 2024.
