Christchurch-based geotechnical engineering and construction company Geovert have been awarded the contract to complete the work at the Diana Falls slip site to get State Highway 6 (SH6) re-opened to two-lane and 24/7 traffic later this year.

The NZ Transport Agency says a temporary stop/go manual traffic operation will be in place later today on the Kaituna Bridge on State Highway 2 (SH2) south of Te Puke. This is required to ensure the safety of workers while critical strengthening works are carried out underneath the bridge deck.
