The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is about to start work to refine the traffic signals on the State highway 6 Kawarau Falls Bridge near Queenstown to improve traffic flows on this busy single lane bridge.
The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) is warning motorists to expect extended delays resulting from blasting work to improve safety at the Nevis Bluff on SH 6 about midway between Cromwell and Queenstown.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 22 March.
State highway 94 the Milford Road will close at night from tonight (15 March), until an inspection is made of a rock fall site above the western entrance of the Homer Tunnel following an earthquake 40km north of Milford Sound this morning.
