Auckland motorists need to plan their journey this Sunday (18 January) with sections of the city’s state highway network and lanes on the Auckland Harbour Bridge being used for an international triathlon event.
Centreline posts are being installed later this week at one of the worst sections for drivers crossing the centreline of State highway 6 (SH6) through the Kawarau Gorge between Cromwell and Queenstown.
Motorists are being advised of possible delays at Arthur’s Pass during the next three months as work progresses on the reconstruction and resealing of 600 metres of State Highway 73 west of the township.
The New Zealand Transport Agency is reminding Canterbury rural property owners of their responsibility to adequately fence their properties to contain livestock after a significant rise in reports of wandering stock during the holiday period.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated.
