The New Zealand Transport Agency is moving forward with the next steps on the Waterview Connection on the SH20 Western Ring Route following confirmation of a revised alignment and tunnelling options in December 2009.
Work will begin early next month on the completion of the Pyes Pa Bypass, a bypass of the 4.6 kilometre residential section of State Highway 36 (Pyes Pa Rd).
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 8pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday 22 January.
