The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) wants to hear from Kiwi motorcyclists on a new guide being developed to help authorities make roads and roadsides safer for riders.
One of the most significant changes to Auckland driving conditions for half a century will be made tomorrow morning (Monday 9 January) when the NZ Transport Agency opens the Victoria Park flyover on State Highway 1 in a new layout to carry four lanes of southbound traffic.
Work to reconfigure the Victoria Park flyover on State Highway 1 in central Auckland is almost complete and the NZ Transport Agency says that it remains on track to open the flyover to four lanes of southbound traffic this Monday, 9 January.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements. Closures start at 9:00 p.m. and finish at 5:00 a.m., unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed at the next available date, prior to Friday, 13 January.
There will be significant changes to the two lanes on the Victoria Park flyover after Christmas, and the NZ Transport Agency is asking drivers to be alert to the new driving conditions on this busy section of Auckland's motorway network.
