State Highway 25 at the north end of Thames will remain closed until repairs are completed to cover an old pump shaft that was exposed when the road sank last week.
Traffic flows around the Waikato and Coromandel have been heavy over the first day of the Easter holiday break, however, overall there have been very few reports of congestion, says the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA).
With traffic expected to be heavy over Easter, the NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) is advising motorists to plan ahead to avoid expected delays and allow additional travel time for their journeys where necessary.
