This weekend marks the start of New Zealand's annual Bike Wise celebrations, with events planned throughout the month of February to entice people out of their cars, off their couches, and onto their bikes.
The first motorists will be travelling on the Northern Gateway Toll Road this Sunday morning (25 January), following an official ceremony tomorrow to mark the road opening.
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements and maintenance. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed on or before the contingency date.
