UPDATE Friday 3 December: Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises night works on the western (Waikato) side of State Highway 29 Kaimai Range have been completed and no further partial closures are required. The essential maintenance work to repair sections of the road was completed ahead of schedule thanks to good weather and favourable conditions on site. Waka Kotahi would like to thank drivers for their patience during these works.
Tararua residents and visitors can now ‘drive the highway’ from the comfort of the Woodville Community Library. Te Ahu a Turanga: Manawatū Tararua Highway project has installed a driving simulator at the library in Woodville on Vogel Street to enable people to experience what the new highway will be like.
