In the 2018–21 NLTP, $110 million of land transport projects have been approved for funding in the Gisborne district. This includes $1.2 million of funding in the latest prioritisation round to make several intersection and route improvements to Gisborne’s walking and cycling network, and it is likely a further $5.9 million will be available to fund a range of Regional improvements. This includes some route security and road surface improvements.
