Top of the South

A total of $479 million is forecast to be invested across the Top of the South in the 2024-27 National Land Transport Programme (NLTP) period.
Investment in the Top of the South during the 2024-27 NLTP is targeted at building a stronger and more resilient roading network to support the productivity of its primary industries.
The $479 million forecast investment includes:
- $161m forecast maintenance operations investment
- $201m forecast to fix potholes investment
- $99m forecast improvements investment
- $11m forecast public transport investment
- $800,000 forecast safety investment
- $3.8m forecast walking and cycling investment
