Extra Information

What is the Newmarket Connection?
At the heart of the four year Newmarket Viaduct Replacement Project is a four-stage replacement of the Newmarket Viaduct (motorway flyover), with a wider, stronger, more sustainable new structure.

The Newmarket Viaduct Replacement project also aims to improve pedestrian links around Newmarket and facilitate the opportunity to breathe life back into the viaduct’s surrounding environment.

Motorists who use the viaduct are asked to please Slow Down and respect the current 70kph speed limit, for their own safety and the safety of the Newmarket Connection workforce.

Who are the judges?
The competition judges are Greg Kempthorne, the NGA Newmarket Viaduct Replacement Project photographer and Auckland past President of the NZ Institute of Professional Photographers and Paul Garelja from Progear Professional Photographics in Newmarket.
