This project saw rumble strips applied to edge and centrelines along the entire route from Dargaville to Tokatoka along State Highway 12. This was completed over three summer construction seasons.
To reduce the occurrence of crashes caused by vehicles running off the road on SH12 between Dargaville and Tokatoka.
Increased safety on the route, resulting in fewer deaths and serious injuries.
