First sod was turned on 13 November 2025 to mark the official start of the project.
As part of the Section 1 enabling works we’ve realigned the approach to the Burness underpass in Taradale and enhanced the area with new plantings and fencing.
These four photos show the first set of enabling works at the Kennedy Road overpass site completed in 2025. We used repurposed silt to raise the level of the land to enable future four-laning. The sites have been hydroseeded to prevent dust and erosion.
