The temporary walkway at the SH88-Shandon Street intersection.
Areas to park-up construction plant and equipment when it isn’t being used have been created, such as this one near Wickliffe Terrace at the entrance to Port Chalmers.
Temporary right-turn bays have been installed at key access points along the construction the site for the new shared path from St Leonards to Port Chalmers, including this one into the St Leonards Yacht Club car park.
Part of the temporary Shandon Street walkway includes this section running adjacent to SH88.
Several lengths of footpath are affected by the construction work, including those connecting Roseneath and Sawyers Bay. In this area a temporary path is in place as shown in the diagram below.
