State Highways 2, 5, 38, 50 and 51 and the rail network in Hawke’s Bay were significantly damaged during Cyclone Gabrielle. The TREC Alliance is restoring the state highway and rail networks to their pre-weather event condition.
A programme of recovery work is underway to restore the state highways back to two lanes across the Hawke’s Bay region.
