Research Report 682 Accessibility: its role and impact on labour and housing markets in New Zealand’s main metropolitan areas

The main aim of this investigative research study was to get a better understanding whether there is a spatial mismatch between where workers live and where they work. The study found that overall, it seems that in New Zealand the labour market and the transport network function well to mitigate the worst effects of spatial mismatch. The study helps to improve the understanding on how to better integrate land use and transport planning.
