NZS4509:2003 Code of Practice for New Zealand Firefighting Water Supplies. Standards New Zealand www.standards.co.nz NZTA Library 2003 This reference appears to have changed to the following.  The Information Centre has obtained a copy of this latest version.  The unusual reference number apparently stands for ‘Publicly Available Specification’.  It is a document jointly published by Standards NZ and NZ Fire Service and appears to have been to some degree in the manner of NZ Standard. However, the section of interest also references a number of other specifications including MOTSAM and TNZ M/07.  The latter is a specification for paint colour and type developed and used by Transit NZ and most road markers.  I believe we will need to consider the standing of the document and consider whether we are able to simply amend our current reference to the new title when we do the TCD Rule.
